Som things start from scratch.... meet Grmmm the spider

 You know... sometimes you're bored and you do some scratches... eventually just a small advice: don't trow them away :) If you look at them maybe you'll see an idea for a funny toy. That's how Grmmm was born :) A customer wanted a spider, but not one like Grmmm more colored, more detailed and most of all not grummy :D D... So here's what comes out of a scratch that normally ends up in the carbage can :)
First some more scratches... real bad ones but already with the idea of putting a movement in it: a musical box or a vibration... when you pull the string Grmmm will now go up again while singing a song or vibrating :)
Then some coloring tests on the embroiderie program.. no waste of time with photoshop etc...
Same for the cutting forms: directly on the embroiderie programm :))) and of course the embroiderie of the eyes and Grmmm mouth :]
Some stitching, filling...and before you know it Grmm is hanging in a tree...
The pictures on the bottom are from the website: Grmm is already for sale... so is his smaller version, blanket, shoes, pijamabags, pillows....
So don't trow those scratches away... people may be loving them <3 <3 <3

Hi ... last year... 2011 wasn't especially good for me .. So I'll forget about it as soon as possible :) Happy New Year ... 2012 will be great. I'll only do designs... lots of designs :)))

A bit of designing :)

I'll show a little bit of how I do the designing... sometimes just starting with a pencil and an empty page... just drawing what comes up in my mind. Sometimes I skip the pencil and do my drawings immediately on my computer on an embroidery program called Accurate (I noticed that this can give problems afterwards... in the way that   some .... claims to own those characters and you don't have a simple drawing in your hand to proof that you designed them :(... Now whatever.

I also work with drawings from customers... (If I like them :))) ) of which I make first the 3D and then the doudous, bibs, pacifier holders, xxl, puppets, blankets, sleeping bags, bedside covers, pillows, play carpets, activity carpets etc etc ... whatever needed :)

based on the same body of Ponito; the first drawing of Dragoo (I use the same body for practical reasons: the making of the 3D will be easier. Afterwards the production will also be easier for teaching and cheaper for the cutting forms... hmmm that doesn't always work out that way :p :p)

coloring and embroidery design (we try out the different colors while embroiding with real fabric, not just Fotoshop which doesn't give the chance of touching the fabric :) )

and hop her's Dragoo in 3D (it's not as easy as just saying "hop" but that's for another post :))))

Who are deroenekes?

You probably never heard about "deroenekes"... they are small, can be very funny sometimes a little of a headache... don't want to be too serious... love making toys... :))) don't like to be used :( be serieous biisenees men blablabla...

But you probably have them in your home :D :D :D they're the little things that make your baby smile :)))
